After finding myself in Fitzroy’s Louis cafe, I felt a serendipitous pull to ‘play’ inside this charming-industrial space. Unknowingly to me Steph, the florist of Aster + Wild had been to the same space at a different time and had felt the same pull to play. So we were a perfect fit for this collaborative shoot…

Driven by the feeling of whimsical romance, we wanted to push boundaries and try something different to what we normally do. For me this meant bringing artful romance to my photography in a dark and moody space. While for Steph it meant reimagining and finding a new way to fall in love with the classic “green and white” colour palette - which she normally despises!

Steph and I have worked on a couple of creative projects together now, and always feels more like an art experiment than a styled session. We simply come together to engage in creative play, bring no expectations and see what happens. It’s always a joy, fun, and well, a little self indulgent! We hope these shots exude the passion we have for our chosen art forms and bring your eyes delight!!
